Conjunctivita este o afecţiune inflamatorie a conjunctivei, cauzele cele mai frecvente fiind infecţiile virale sau microbiene, ori reacţiile alergice. Simptomatologia subiectivă este reprezentată de jena oculară, senzaţie de corp străin sau de arsură; obiectiv, se constată hiperemie conjunctivală periferică, superficială, modificări de secreţie şi de relief ale conjunctivei.
